• Meet with ELIAS, South African shareholder of ORKNEY GOLD MINE, introduce the progress of asset restructuring, ELIAS is very happy and gratified. Both parties also discuss the assumption of the organizational structure of ORKNEY GOLD MINE, the business plan of ORKNEY GOLD MINE in 2018, and the time, place and theme of the next board meeting.

Venue: The Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of China’s Embassyin Pretoria

• Meet with the Counsellor Zhao Zhongyi and the Third Secretary Sun Tengfei, consult them about the political and economic situation in South Africa and the cautions for Chinese enterprises operating in South Africa. The Counsellor Zhao Zhongyi introduces the macro policies and trends of South Africa, in particular, 2018 BRICKS Summit will be held in Johannesburg in July, and 2018 is also the 20^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and South Africa. He also suggests ORKNEY GOLD MINE be filed at the embassy and join the Chinese Enterprises Association. The Secretary Sun Tengfei reminds us to properly manage the relations with local communities and trade union, as well as the revision of mining laws and regulations.

From internal meetings, work arrangements, interviewingexecutive candidates to contacting shareholders, the banks, local embassies andassociations, we have spent four virtually non-stop four days through followingthe Chairman Lou Dingbo. The tight schedule has brought a full harvest: theteam members of ORKNEY GOLD MINE have clearly defined the direction and focusof their work through face-to-face communications; the candidates expected tojoin the team have got more confidence in the company and are expected to jointhe ORKNEY project which need talents urgently; the confidence of shareholdershave been enhanced through communications with shareholders; initiated thepossibility of cooperation with the local banks; established relations withChinese embassy and associations to add support for the vigorous development ofORKNEY GOLD MINE.

The Chairman Lou Dingbo’s visit to South Africa himself showedthat Pengxin Mining have attached great importance and confidence to ORKNEYGOLD MINE Project, and his hard work and high efficiency have also set anexample for the team. It is reported that other senior management of PengxinMining will follow in the Chairman’s footsteps to go to South Africa to carryout field work as well. Their efforts and role model will certainly promote therestructuring and resumption of production of ORKNEY GOLD MINE greatly.
