BE TOGETHER

2022-04-02

The spring ofMarch has been overshadowed by the outbreak of epidemic. Even so, all staff ofPengxin Mining are proceeding with confidence and fight shoulder-to-shoulder toovercome the difficulties together under the leadership of the company’smanagement. During this period, all Pengxin Mining people have never stoppedtheir footsteps. They took the initiative to move forward and join forces torespond to the situation actively. There has been emerged many small stories ofsilent dedications. Here are some records of their daily life.

During this round of epidemic in Shanghai, allpersonnel of the Human Resources and Administration Department have assumedgreat working pressure and responsibility. Under the circumstance of limitedpersonnel, they try their best to ensure the guarantee work of every employeeduring the in-service office and the quarantine period. At the meantime, theymaintain smooth communication channels with all departments of the company, timely and effectively cooperate with various departments including the officeof the Board of Directors, Planning and Finance Department, etc., to ensuresmooth operation of the company.

During theepidemic controlled period, every employee of the Human Resources andAdministration Department has been working hard to get ahead, and take theinitiative to connect and respond actively.

Every detail reflects the concentrated attention of administrative andlogistics work. During the outbreak of epidemic, the Human Resources andAdministration Department was concerned about the safety of every employee whenevery ordinary employee was concerned about personnel travel, and he wasquietly doing seemingly insignificant “petty things” for everyone. At thebeginning of the epidemic, Mr. He Min, Administrative Director of the HumanResources and Administration Department, has actively started procuringdisinfectants, hand sanitizer, masks, protective clothing, and other epidemicprevention materials to ensure the proper reserve of epidemic preventionmaterials and the normal progress of disinfection and epidemic prevention workof the office environment to provide guarantee for the orderly operation of theoffice. In the general screening of epidemic prevention and control in the markon March 11, he cooperated with the superior leaders to complete a series ofspecific implementation work, including counting the list of personnel, organizing employees to take samples, and summarizing the testing situation, soas to ensure that all those in need have been tested. Make registrationinstructions of those who could not participate in the on-site inspection forsome reason to ensure no one was left unattended. Since the escalation ofepidemic prevention and control, the canteen has adopted the mode of dinningseparately. He counts the number of diners every day, and communicates with thecanteen to prepare meals, and pulls a cart to the canteen in advance to pick uplunch for the staff every day and distribute the lunch to the staff, but he isalways the last one to have lunch. Sometimes when the lunch is not enough, hewould smile and say “one more here”, and silently gives his lunch to theemployee, but he would make a meal with bread. After receiving the notice ofthe prevent and control management of the park on March 15, he conductedanother routine check on the facilities in the building to ensure the safety ofthe office area, and turned off the lights and left only after all employeeshad left.

“Actually, I didn’t do anything special. It’s just mydaily work. In the midst of repeated and worsening epidemics, I will continueto contribute my own efforts in winning the tough battle against the epidemicunder the leadership of department leaders.” He said.

During the epidemic controlled period, Mr. Gao Ming, Senior AdministrativeManager of the Human Resources and Administration Department, was online 24 hoursa day to cooperate with department leaders in the prevention and control of theepidemic. What he often used to say is: “when you encounter a problem, youshould directly solve it instead of complaining. This is the most basicprofessional ethics. Only in this way can we live up to our responsibilitiesand the trust of the superiors.”

At work, externally, he actively coordinated and communicated with thepark and the streets where the company is located to get the latest epidemicprevention and control policies; internally, he tracked the prevention andcontrol situation of the communities where employees lived, and summarizedstatistical data. The recent outbreak of domestic epidemic and the continuousescalation of overseas epidemic have brought about a new round of flightinterruption, which has made it difficult for overseas employees to get back. Plusthe time difference with overseas business units, it has become commonplace forhim to check the flight information and deal with emergencies of overseasflights late at night. When he was tired late at night, the only thing on hismind was to ensure the smooth dispatch of personnel and the smooth replacementof overseas field employees. On the night of March 20th, the returnflight of China Southern Airlines was interrupted again, which directlyaffected the return of our Chinese employees in Congo (DRC) and South Africa. To ensure smooth return of overseas employees, Mr. Gao Ming communicated andcoordinated with many airlines until he finally arranged the most appropriateroute in the early morning, and then he was relieved to sleep. At the meantime,it has become more difficult to issue overseas visas due to the escalation ofthe epidemic. Mr. Gao Ming took it as his responsibility to cooperate withemployee dispatching and meet the requirements of on-site production, andcompleted nearly 50 overseas visas in the first quarter after communication andcoordination with various parties.

The escalationof the epidemic in Shanghai has brought many difficulties for our epidemicprevention work. At this critical moment, the help of our affiliated companieshas made us feel more powerful and warm. On the evening of March 27, a batch ofproduction line emergency spare parts that had been scheduled to be shipped toCongo (DRC) from Shanghai Pudong Airport the next day were still retained inthe warehouse of the company due to the sudden control notice. The temporarycontrol broke our original plan. As the regional control time entered thecountdown, relevant personnel of the Human Resources and AdministrationDepartment sought help from Pujiang Zhigu Park immediately under the leadershipof Mr. Zhu Xiaowei. Mr. Gan Zhanyong, General Manager of the Park, quicklyresponded and got acquainted with the situation, and timely assisted ourcompany to implement the coordination work of internal personnel in the park. Mr.Wang Baogui, Property Manager, and Mr. Li Qingsen, Security Guard of the Park, assisted our company to complete a series of work including weighing andpacking, etc. under the remote guidance of the trade logistic staff of ourcompany, and delivered the materials to the designated place before controlunder the premise of complying with the requirements of epidemic prevention andcontrol. At present, the materials have successfully boarded the flight to theDemocratic Republic of Congo.

They are on the ordinary positions, but they are doing seemingly pettythings. They take the initiative to move forward, they join hands and worktogether, they make contributions silently. Let’s go forward hand in hand andfight against the epidemic together, and wait for the spring blossoms andprosperity to return.
