The infrastructures in Congo (Kinshasa) are weak, there are fewpaved roads, and those roads are always poor in quality. As one of the majormining towns in the southern part of Congo (Kinshasa), Likasi’s traffic is verybusy. Many heavy-duty trucks are running to and fro, but the roads are poorlymaintained. Some roads have been seriously damaged over time, there is evenchasms on the roads, which have obstructed the traffic.
In October 2017, SMCO teamed up with sevenother local companies and took the lead in funding to raise funds for localroad rehabilitation works.
