At 8 o’clock in the morning on June 17th, 2021, the copper line technical transformation project of Pengxin Mining Congo (Kinshasa) Shituru Mining Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “SMCO”) was officially put into production. After Mr. Wang Jinding, Chairman of Pengxin Mining, announced the official start of trial production, the forklift with full load of ores put the ores with a grade of 2.5% into the crushing mouth continuously with warm applause, marking SMCO’s achievement of the technical innovation of reducing copper ore grade from 4.9% to 2.5%. 

Under the plague of COVID-19, and faced with various difficulties such as personnel shortages and material deficiency, Mr. Yu Shengha, SMCO General Manager, led the field team bravely rise to the challenge and ensure the construction of copper line technical transformation project, laying a solid foundation for the development of Pengxin Mining in Congo (DRC). 

We adopt domestic advanced grinding treatment and high efficiency leaching equipment in the copper line technical transformation project, which can process about 1.890 million tons of ore annually and produce 40,000 tons of cathode copper annually, meanwhile, it can achieve a 100% yield rate of LME A-level cathode copper.
